Report Housing Program Abuse:

Housing program abuse is an action or failure to act that allows a Public Housing tenant, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) participant, or HCVP landlord to receive benefits for which the person is not entitled to receive. A person who knowingly withholds information, fails to report a change in the family's circumstances, or otherwise engages in activity prohibited by program regulations.

The HACSJ receives federal funding for its housing programs. Each assisted household is determined eligible by HACSJ staff. The majority of families receiving housing assistance from HACSJ, and HCVP landlords, are honest and follow program rules. However, there are some who donít. Because we are committed to the integrity and effectiveness of all of our housing programs and operations, we welcome tips and other information leading to an investigation of program abuse.
